The History of The Barn
Late 1870’s
1880’s-1890’s
Late 1930’s
2016-2019
Cliff Spring Ranch was founded by J.H. Deaver, a devoutly religious man who went on to become one of the founding trustees of a small college that would transform into a treasured local university - ACU.
The homestead was built by hand by Mr. Deaver and his wife, encompassing a refined stone house and charming barns, situated among the picturesque hills just outside the lively frontier town of Buffalo Gap.
Stewardship of Cliff Spring Ranch passed to its new owners, beloved Abilene physician T. Wade Hedrick and his family, who continued the legacy and hospitality of the ranch for the following decades.
Under new ownership, a venue was envisioned and built, constructed as a place where families could come together to celebrate and create memories.
2021-Present
Today, the ranch is home to The Barn, brimming with refined charm and preserving the history of the ranch. The Barn is a place where legacies are both created and honored, where love stories become part of the heart and soul of the ranch.
